Pruning

" I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away;
and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you."
John 15:1 – 3

You are already clean.  You have been forgiven.  You have been bought with a price.  You have been made clean.  End of discussion.  You are God’s child.  Period.  There is nothing that you can do that will undo that!

Now, it is a matter of growing.  Put your roots deep into the Word and spread your hands in praise to the Son.  You will grow.  When hard things come, it is God’s pruning to train you in the way that He wants you to go.  He is preparing you for the day of harvest.  That day will come either in heaven or at the rapture.

You are God’s child.  You are going to heaven.  You can either limp in scarred and weary or bound in with a joyful heart.  That choice is yours and it all depends on the life choices you make here on earth.

Hint of the day: Even if you are not a gardener, there is so much to be learned by planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting.  Choose just one plant.  Tomatoes are good to start with.  Have your child help you to plant and tend to the plant. Prune off any limbs that are not producing or that are dead.  Teach your child that you do this so that the sap can get to the good parts of the plant.  Then read John 15: 1-9 to them.  Aplain ten bad  happen is not always punishment, but sometimes it's pruning.
