Your King is Coming

Sorry, I am so sporadic right now.  Sundays and Mondays we drive and set up the trailer.  Then Thursday we set up for the show and Fridays and Saturdays are conference days.  Next week we actually do 3 show in 9 days.  Pray for strength and stamina for both Tracy and me!

I am loving Zechariah!  He prophesied for Israel during the Babylonian exile, but he also prophesied of the Messiah and the end times.

Listen to Zechariah 6:12-13:
“Behold, a man whose name is Branch,
for He will branch out from where He is;
and He will build the temple of the Lord.
Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord,
and He who will bear the honor and sit and rule on His throne.
Thus, He will be a priest on His throne,
and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices.”

Jesus is that Branch!  When He returns He will be both King and Priest.  There is no other who can meet the requirements of one of these offices, let alone both!  He alone is the heir to the throne and He alone is the perfect High Priest!  In chapter 8, the Lord says that He will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.  Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.  This has not happened yet, but is still to come!  “…and they shall be My people and I will be their God in truth and righteousness.”!  Can you envision it?  Close your eyes and run through the heavenly city as a child full of joy, heading for your Lord and King and Father, God!  With great peace and joy and happiness and love will you come to be with Him.  He will be in our midst and we will worship Him! 8:19b says,
“The fast…will become joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.”  We are included in these promises as the adopted sons and daughters of the King.  We become grafted into the Branch of Israel.  We do not replace the children of Israel, but we become brothers and sisters along with them when we accept Jesus as Lord and God as Father!  These promises are ours!

Finally, 9:9-10
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you…”
