God Will Equip You

“Now the God of peace,
who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep
through the blood of the eternal covenant,
even Jesus our Lord,
equip you in every good thing to do His will,
working in us that which is pleasing in His sight,
 through Jesus Christ,
to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21

God has called you and therefore, He will equip you.  Whether that calling is to ministry, an occupation, a position, as a mother or father, or as a homeschooling parent, if God called you, He will equip you.  How do I know?  Because He raised Jesus from the dead!  If He has power and wisdom and knowledge to do that, He can do anything!  My friend, Hope, is an artist.  She worked for 12 years in the deli of a local grocery store and hated almost every minute of it.  But today she will tell you that because of her personality, she needed those 12 years of structure to equip her to be able to work on her own for God’s glory through her art and at her local church.

God knows you – individually, uniquely.  He knows your personality, your weaknesses, your strengths.  He will equip you, personally, to be able to carry out that which He has called you to do.  Your job?  Listen to Him to know His will for you.  Spend time with God and be obedient in what you do know.  Do what you must do towards the calling God has given you.  And trust that God will equip you with everything that you will need to successfully fulfill that calling.  Praise Him in the midst – before it is realized knowing that He who began a good work in you will be about perfecting it until the day of Christ Jesus. (Phil. 1:6)  Latly, give God the glory for all that He has done for you.
